There is a massive shortage of desks across the African continent. KGP research, supported by UNESCO reporting, shows that out of 227 million students in sub-saharan Africa, as many as 95 million students do not have desks in their schools (this includes 28m in West Africa, 42m in East Africa, 4m in Southern Africa, and 14m in Central Africa).
